Latest WAPEN Statement

The Welsh Advanced Practice Educators Network (WAPEN) shares AAPE UK's concern regarding the sentiment, principles and language used in the recent BMA survey and does not consider these to reflect the values of respectful, collaborative and patient-centred healthcare practice. We are proud of all those working at an advanced level across Wales who share their skills, knowledge, expertise and their own valuable professional perspective within multidisciplinary teams to significantly benefit patients and colleagues. WAPEN will continue to advocate for advanced practitioners within Wales, and supports steps to improve role clarity, governance and collaboration.

Mae Rhwydwaith Addysgwyr Ymarfer Uwch Cymru (RhAYUC/WAPEN) yn rhannu pryderon AAPE UK ynglŷn â'r teimladau, egwyddorion a'r defnydd o'r iaith a ddefnyddiwyd gan y BMA yn eu arolwg diweddar. Nid ydym yn ystyried y rhain i fod yn werthoedd ynghlwm ag ymarfer gofal iechyd parchus a chydweithredol sydd yn rhoi'r claf yn ganolog. Rydym yn falch iawn o bawb sydd yn gweithio ar lefel uwch ar draws Cymru sydd yn rhannu eu sgiliau, gwybodaeth, arbenigedd a'u persbectif proffesiynol gwerthfawr o fewn timau amlddisgyblaethol er mwyn budd cleifion a cydweithwyr. Bydd WAPEN yn parhau i hyrwyddo ymarferwyr uwch yng Nghymru, a rydym yn cefnogi camau i wella eglurder, system llywodraethu a chydweithrediad.
