As part of AAPE UKs remit, we surveyed AAPE UK members who offer Advanced Practice apprenticeship programmes and are part of the End Point Assessment network that AAPE UK hosts. This identifies their concerns around the future of Advanced Practice, the impact of the removal of apprenticeships on the long-term workforce plan in England, and on the viability of Advanced Practice programmes.
The Welsh Advanced Practice Educators Network (WAPEN) shares AAPE UK's concern regarding the sentiment, principles and language used in the recent BMA survey and does not consider these to reflect the values of respectful, collaborative and patient-centred healthcare practice.
